On Saturday, five Portageville students competed for spots in the All-Division Band. The tryouts took place at Kennett Middle School, where students from East Prairie to South Pemiscot came to compete. This tryout involved prepared musical excerpts, scales, and sight reading. All five students were chosen to be in the band! Kaydin Jones (MS drums), Brady Stone (HS trombone), Dustin Nolen (HS baritone), Ema Whittemore (HS clarinet), and Alyssa Pullam (HS clarinet) were all selected from the over 100 students who tried out.
